About the Event

Freedom Strolls - Every Step Tells a Story

Nature Stroll - The Trees that Live in Freedom, hosted by Trees Atlanta and presented by Freedom Park Conservancy, in celebration of Earth Day

Meet at the Peace Bell Tower, built in the style of a Japanese temple, located near the central circular drive of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Museum and Library. Free Parking.

Join us in celebrating the 28th anniversary if the creation of Freedom Park, one of our largest parks, and the official art park of the City of Atlanta. The Carter Center sits at the center of the park, and we will explore how the park connects to many local amenities, including the Beltline, while enjoying the art installations along the trail.

Trees Atlanta Docent, Alison Mawle, will assist attendees in identifying some of the many native trees that make up our urban forest, while discussing the many unique attributes of Your Freedom Park.

The path is paved and flat, and is about 1.5 miles, so the tour will last approximately 90 minutes.

Tour hosted by Trees Atlanta and presented by Freedom Park Conservancy, in celebration of Earth Day.
