About Us
Freedom Park is Atlanta’s only designated Art Park and the city’s largest linear park! Located a few miles east of Downtown Atlanta, Georgia, Freedom Park’s art collection includes permanent and temporary sculptures from renowned international artists. Freedom Park is Atlanta’s most connected park, linking together 7 of the city’s most historic and desirable neighborhoods—Candler Park, Inman Park, Old Fourth Ward, Poncey-Highland, Virginia Highland, Druid Hills, and Lake Claire. Freedom Park’s 130+ acres boast 8 miles of gently curving paths for walking, jogging, and cycling. The Atlanta BeltLine is easily accessible from our trail network, and Little Five Points business district is nestled between the park's western and southern legs.
Freedom Park is the only park in the world that includes two Nobel Peace Centers. These centers are dedicated to Jimmy Carter and Martin Luther King Jr., two American treasures, national leaders, and Nobel Peace Prize laureates. The park overlays the first completed section of the Atlanta BeltLine, connecting community business and neighborhood assets with ease.
